Me. I’m an attorney, and I like Star Trek and aviation way more than any normal person should. Needless to say, the opinions contained within this blog are my own, and made in my personal capacity.

This is my blog. It has been a blog since the summer of 2004. Previously, it was a website, but when websites were no longer “cool,” I conformed. Regardless, this site has been online since 1997. It is mostly a compilation of my not-so-well thought out thoughts, occasional rants, and repository for pictures of my diecast airplane collection.

I see there are categories. I do my best to categorize my posts into nice little buckets that you can easily access from the Archives page. Although there’s not really a science behind how these categories work, they can be roughly summarized as follows:

  • Aviation. I’m an aviation enthusiast. Sometimes, I even post about it. This is where those posts go.
  • Geeky. I’m proud to admit I’m a geek. Necessarily, I like gadgets & computers, and the such. If I didn’t have a sense of humor about my geekiness, I’d probably name this category “technology” or something boring an uninventive like that.
  • Life Happens. You could say this is the category “for everything else.” I generally post things here when significant events occur, or when I’m musing on some random topic, or other not necessarily important events that populate this thing we refer to as life.
  • Music. I get a kick out of sharing my musical interests on this blog, so this is where those posts go. And with Shadowbox JS, those posts are all the more cooler.
  • Politics. There was a time when I pretty actively blogged on politics. I purposely dried that well up recently, although given the historic nature of the 2008 election, I couldn’t resist adding a post or two. So, this is where they lie. I may add more.
  • School. Used this category for posts related in anyway to my time in law school. Even though that era ended a couple years ago, you never know when something may come up!
  • Sci-fi. Since I’m a bit of a geek, it follows that I should like sci fi, right? Actually, this category is probably a bit broader than my actual interest, which is really only in Star Trek, but I have been trying to branch our recently (Battlestar Galactica and Firefly are cool).
  • Sportish. I’m fan of almost anything Seattle sports (such that is currently is…) so this is where those posts go.
  • Trips. Occasionally, I travel. Occasionally, a post goes up in this category.
  • Weird. Pretty self explanatory. I should really delete this category as I really only have one post in here currently.
  • Work. At one point, I apparently actually blogged about this.
