Firefox 2

It’s out and it rocks. The live spell checker is awesome.

Air Fare

Oh… well, that’s a bummer.

Internet Explorer 7

Well, it’s here.

Microsoft has finally unveiled the full version of Internet Explorer 7 (oddly enough, the link to download IE7 from Microsoft’s homepage doesn’t appear to be working so you have to download it from IE7′s own website).

I installed it and I am, in fact, using it to update my blog right now. So far, it doesn’t seem to be that bad. The browser feels faster (it certainly loads a lot quicker), the new RSS center is nice, and, of course, it’s just a blast to have tabs in IE. Quick tabs is pretty sweet too. There’s really no question that this is a vast improvement over the craptastic trash that is IE6. And it’s nice to know that features like tabbed browsing and RSS feeds will finally get an introduction to the mainstream. With Firefox 2 just around the corner, this will prove to be quite a browser-filled month!

It’s not Firefox of course, and I already have two pet peeves with IE7: (1) hitting ctrl + L to type in a new web address still brings up a separate “open” window, which really just adds unnecessary window clutter, and (2) no inline find feature. Still, I think I’ll actually use IE7 exclusively for a while just for the sake of getting a new IE experience.

Conventions, Trips, and Planes, oh my

As I write this, the Seahawks are mounting what looks to be a thrilling fourth quarter come-from-behind victory against the Rams, and the sun is emerging from clouds that have blanketted Seattle all weekend.

Chicago, we’ll see you in the playoffs.

Anyway, it’s time for some updates. First, I’ve (finally) uploaded pictures from the Star Trek convention I went to about a month ago. Head on over to the gallery to check them out (note: the album is limited to registered users).

Second, I was in L.A. a couple weeks ago for my cousin’s birthday. I snapped a lot of pictures that I’m … sure I’ll be uploading in due course (which, as you can see from above, probably translates to about a month late… but better late than never!)

Finally, I attended my first Airline convention yesterday! It was at the Museum of Flight, and I added a couple models to the collection – a Thai A340-600, and a United Airlines Cargo DC-10-30. My United collection is now up to 58 pieces. It may be time to upload some pictures soon.

Well, I’m spent.

SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great way to start the day!!!!!!
