Minimum Competence

On Tuesday I officially began studying for the Washington State Bar Exam. Just typing that sentence makes me shudder! So far we’ve started off somewhat lenient, but things begin picking up in the next day or two (3-5 essays a day, along with outlines and readings — and I thought school was over!)

I successfully moved into my new apartment this past weekend. I’ve managed to unpack most of the boxes and it’s already beginning to feel like home, which is good. I’ll need to get some new furniture in the coming weeks to make it a little homier, but for right now, I have to say I’m really pleased with the place and quite comfortable. Here’s to Queen Anne!

Graduation Pics

I’ve uploaded some pictures taken on graduation day to the gallery. Head on over to check them out.

And they ARE there — trust me, I’m a lawyer. Damn that feels good.

Oh Canada!

My family and I just returned from a little post-graduation trip to Vancouver and Victoria. I’ve eaten some pretty exceptional food and seen some amazing sites in the past few days. Weather and company were perfect. I wish life consisted of nothing but travel—and what makes that thought even more painful is that for some people, that is very much the case!

And now, just one more week before all hell breaks loose again. Actually, since I’ll likely be spending the majority of my one last week before I begin studying for the bar packing and preparing to move, I’m pretty much already done with break. Joy.

Moving

Well, it’s official – at the end of May, I’ll be moving to Queen Anne, which is just North of downtown Seattle. I’m upgrading to a one bedroom (I currently live in a studio) and I’ll have hardwood floors and a view of the city. Huzzah! One less thing to worry about!

Oh, and I’m going to be a lawyer on Saturday. :)

AND: the gallery now works! Now I just need to tweak the hell out of it and get it embedded properly (see the work in progress here).

A Rather Bitter Intern?

This is a riot.
