Updates

After only a week at my externship, I can easily say it has been, and will be one of my best experiences in law school. The projects are challenging and interesting, the people are great, and I find that I’m experiencing a sense of pride and satisfaction working in chambers. I’m so happy to be externing at federal district court, and I can’t think of a better way to spend my final semester of law school.

I bought a new wireless router today. It’s the Linksys WRT54GC and it is absolutely awesome. It’s compact, easy to setup, and has amazing range for an internal antenna. I fully plan on packing this baby with me when I travel so I can always have a wireless internet connection with me wherever I go. It replaced my old and crusty Netgear WGR614 which, for some inexplicable reason, constantly stopped broadcasting its wireless signal, forcing me to reset the router everytime I wanted to connect to it with my laptop. It’s had that problem ever since I got it, over two years ago! Good riddance!

I realize I haven’t reflected very much on my recent trip to Thailand and Hong Kong on my blog. The fact is, however, that I have reflected on it a great deal with my friends who have been interested to know about it. But, since I can do anything I want with this space, I will say that it was probably one of the best, if not the best, vacation I’ve had. There are many reasons why this was such a good trip, but the most important reason has to be seeing family. Except for my parents of course, I grew up pretty separated from extended family. I never had a grandparent or an uncle or even a cousin “over the river and through the woods.” We always had to trek across long distances to see family. So, needless to say, it’s always enjoyable to be in a place where you’re literally surrounded by family members. In any event, I plan on making some progress tonight on uploading some pictures.

In other news, I’ve actually (finally?) decided to expand my diecast collection beyond United. I’ll certainly still collect her, but there’s no point in denying it any longer: this hobby has addicted me. :) See if you can spot the other airlines I’ve added to the collection…
