Encoding the work

Made my first venture back to the library today. It was mildly depressing, but I might as well get used to it — I now have work for all 4 classes. That’s fantastic!

Been spending a lot of time reading on audiocoding.com and hydrogenaudio.org. I’ve learned more about audio compression in the past 48 hours than in the past 4 years. These are incredible resources, and if you’re at all interested in learning about why you should stop using mp3, visit those sites. Audiocoding is a little more user-friendly for first-time visitors as it includes a knowledge base for you to get your feet wet with. The forums at HA are so advanced and complicated the veterans might not even give you the time of day to answer questions if you could have easily searched for the answer yourself…
